There is an interesting article in Psychology Today on love and why you should not marry for love. Even though I disagree with some points It is thought provoking. I think the author mixes up love with infatuation. The authors reasoning is based on the 3 points below. Each point is detailed in the article located here. Basically the author says there is more important things that love as a reason to marry. What do you think?

1. Love is a changeable emotion.

2. Love does not make for a strong enough foundation.

3. Love is far from “all you need.”

Love is only part of the picture. It must be love + ability to communicate + compatibility + shared values + some shared interests

I disagreed with her at the very beginning where she intimated that poor people (or those who dont have all their needs met) dont get married, and that twisted my specs on the whole rest of her article To the point where I just saw the whole thing as her hustling for freebie material for the book she;s writing (please take my survey so I can write about you).
